#SupremeCourt’s Justice Chandrachud led bench had restrained Sudarshan TV News from telecasting remaining episodes of the 'Bindas Bol' show about Muslims clearing the UPSC exam until further orders, after prima facie observing that the object of the show was to vilify Muslims.
@SudarshanNewsTV has stated that the show has been made out of investigative journalism, which reveals “illegal foreign funding” tied to terrorist linked organizations of UPSC coaching centres that cater to the minority community.
Justice Chandrachud adds: An anathema on 19(1)(a) to impose censorship but at the same time human dignity has to be taken into account and some standards have to imposed which in fact, go beyond this program.

Top Court to hear a plea against the Sudarshan TV programme acclaimed as a ''big expose on the conspiracy" of Muslims indulging in "infiltrating government service''.
Though top court had refused to pass a pre-broadcast injunction order against the show, expression of views derogatory to a particular community had a "divisive potential" & the petition had raised significant issues bearing on the "protection of constitutional rights".
The court while doing so had thus issued notice to Union of India, Press Council of India, News Broadcasters Association as well as Sudarshan News, returnable today.

"The advice of "Life Must Go On" may have very sound philosophical underpinnings but cannot be a substitute for valid legal reasoning and logical analysis of the various aspects involved in the conduct of exams", states the plea.
"The only two reasons that can be discerned from the Impugned Order for dismissal are (a) Life must go on (b) Students should not lose an academic year. With utmost respect, both the reasons, do not constitute an authoritative & comprehensive judicial scrutiny",plea states.
