Fowlis Easter - the most complete medieval church in Scotland - is closing and could go on the open market at the end of the year. The loss of it would be catastrophic. I see new wonderful details every time I visit. Come and have a look with me: Image Founded in 1453, the survivals here are incredible! Some are small elements like the lovely carved doors of its rood screen:

For #WorldBeeDay I’m going to share one of the WILDEST things (literally) about @Rosslynchapel.

So, I usually tell people that all the things you think are weird about Rosslyn are fairly normal, and the things you think are normal are actually extremely weird… 🧵 Image During my PhD I heard stories about people witnessing honey oozing down the inside walls of the chapel. I always thought this was a kind of urban myth, typical of Rosslyn. The same has been told about many churches.
