So in Battlegroup Storr spends a lot of time talking about how IFVs typically fail in the assault because 1) They get stopped short of the objective 2) If they make it they don’t have enough infantry to carry the objective 1/x
Interestingly he goes on to say on page 126 that he does eventually pull it off at a 70% success rate, which to me seems pretty good and sounds like validation. That he then just does not elaborate on or talk about… 2/x

So about two years ago I think via the Art of Manliness, I stumbled across the idea of a commonplace book and I started using flashcards and an organizer, beginning to take notes on what I read, what I heard, all sorts of stuff. Then I stumbled across 3x5 leadership via
From the Greennotebook and about using Evernote to take notes electronically. I still write stuff down in my notebook or phone when I hear it, then down on the flashcards, then back up on Evernote, this way I've seen something/written it 3x, to really get in my memory.
