[puts kayfabe hat on] The thing about Punk's callback to the Shield in that AEW promo is that it reveals that CM Punk still doesn't get it. Dean Ambrose was never the weak link in the Shield, as Punk said. The weak link was Seth Rollins.
Bray Wyatt was luring Dean Ambrose away not to serve any concept we have of weak or strong, of bad or good, but because Bray Wyatt craved devotion, protection, loyalty. He WANTED that kind of man. Both Ambrose & Wyatt exist outside the morality of a title.

Thus far tRoP is very plodding, one-at-a-time storytelling that wants to TELL us established relationships/decorum instead of letting them unfold before us. It's heavy (mediocre) CGI & while many costumes/set pieces are beautiful they're clean, defined, like a staged apartment.
Jackson's LotR trusted I would follow Frodo & understand new characters. We get about 6 minutes of backstory to start and another maybe 3 from Elrond. That Middle-Earth is real I can imagine the way it SMELLS. I see the characters in costume & those are their CLOTHES.

I thought about this IMMEDIATELY. That beautiful, private moment of awe & mercy means a lot for her but it will never mean anything to [derogatory] MEN.
Something so interesting about GRRM's ASOIAF world pre the Dance is that the Targaryens have been so mighty & so at least seemingly in control that the optics and the idea of the "game" isn't here yet. We're seeing people who don't yet know the importance of performance.
