Some categories are subcategories of other, higher order categories. So "left handed men" is a subcategory of "men" is a subcategory of "primates" is a subcategory of "mammals" is a subcategory of "vertebrates," and so on. This is a completely obvious and commonplace observation.

Two and a half. This unfortunate little boy was "socially transitioned" by his parents before he was three years old, and is now profoundly damaged, and terrified of being "outed" as the boy he is.

This is child abuse. It must stop.

The child will need a range of interventions, and there will have to be clinical input because his health (both physical and mental) has been so damaged. But the only sane starting point has to be a recognition of reality.

I haven't managed to read the judgment in FWS v Scottish Ministers (no.3) thoroughly yet, but something that has jumped out at me is the court's clear, robust treatment of the question of "bright line rules". Wailing about a perceived need for "case by case assessment" has bedevilled this area of law for ages.
