Does Gender exist?
1/ The word #gender is an artifact of the English language: it first was introduced by hijacking the term for grammatical gender (from Latin: genus) for ideological purposes. It then morphed into a synonym for biological sex, ... 2/ ...probably out of prudishness because sex also refers to the sex act. The gender concept therefore doesn't exist in other languages. To the degree the idea gets pushed there, it's entirely an import from the English world, often using the English word "gender".
