2026 parliamentary elections in Georgia — what may happen soon.
In 2024, Georgian Dream’s only goal was to stay in power at any cost.
The democratic opposition actually won, but results were rigged.
What we had was not an election, it was a special operation to preserve a pro-Russian regime.

So why would GD want new elections in 2026? Isn’t it risky?
Yes, but they want two things:
Constitutional majority and Legitimation (to tell the country + international partners that their rule is “legal”)
With a constitutional majority, they can rewrite the Constitution entirely.
