Chancellor Scholz is back home from China. Many see his visit motivated by Germany’s economic reliance on China. But Germany is not dependent on China. China tops the rankings in representing 9.5% of Germany's total exports & imports in goods. But diversity, not dependency, characterizes Germany’s trade relationship with the world. US, France, Poland, & other EU neighbours are at 5-8%.
