At the #GQuuuuuuX panel at #Otakon2025 with animation director Hidenori Matsubara, who handled the prologue scenes, and production coordinator Hayato Tanaka!


Matsubara says Gundam 0079 came out when he was 14, so getting to work on the series today and with the original characters like Char was an amazing experience. It was not just fun to make, but fun to watch after they finished the work, even as the people who made it!

The Smiling Friends panel at #SDCC2025 began with showing a full episode of season 3!

Episode was about Pim and Charlie helping a guy called Silly Samuel be taken seriously while Allan and the Boss try to pass the health inspection for the office.


Zack and Michael were supposed to do a live-drawing but the pens and tablets are not working so they just jumped into Q&A about the episode.

Next up for me at #AnimeNYC, the Localize This! Panel, feat. a Mt. Rushmore of localization, @ZackDavisson, Carl Horn, Mari Morimoto, Lynzee Loveridge, & @OkazuYuri! It’s a full house! Mari’s been in the business so long she gets 2 slides! She’s been in the industry three years longer than Carl Horn! 😎🔥

At the @DarkHorseComics panel feat. @ZackDavisson & Carl Horn! Giving a history of Dark Horse’s relationship with publishing manga. Dark Horse started doing manga in 88, Viz was founded just a year before in 87. Contrary to what some younger fans may think, Manga localization was happening before the internet!

@denpa_books panel time @animenyc! Ed was originally thinking of just talking about all the supply chain at this one (which I would have loved personally!) - but he’s also got a lot of cool news and announcements to make!
