In Vietnam we eat kudzu, it is so delicious. We also make tea out of it and make a drink out of crushed root. It is a delicious and versatile plant, but when I visited the USA south everyone looked at me like I was crazy when I said how delicious it is! Wow, lots of people asked about recipes with kudzu.
My family grew kudzu when I was a kid and this is how you make delicious food out of it!
Let’s go!

In Inventing Reality, Parenti explains how bourgeois media controls the conversation while creating an illusion of dissenting opinion by controlling what gets discussed and establishing boundaries for either "side" of the public discourse. Here we see exactly that. Headlines pretending Biden is doing anything at all to threaten Israel as a method of inventing perceptual reality. Biden could END the genocide at any time, the USA fully enables it. By pretending that his "threats" to Israel are serious or would hinder Israel, they create an essentially pro-genocide position of "supporting Biden" as he does nothing, in material terms, to stop the genocide.

The Liberal-Fascist Bargain

Biden's unwavering support for Netanyahu is a perfect example of what we call "the liberal-fascist bargain." Similar to liberal US admins installing and supporting the fascist puppet government in Southern Vietnam, Pinochet in Chile, etc. Liberalism and fascism are only different modes of superstructure of bourgeois ruling class. Materially they are much the same. The differences fade significantly on the global stage. Western liberals have murdered tens of millions abroad through imperialist and colonial schemes.

Again, so much binary/metaphysical thinking in analysis I see of AOC appearing here. Let's look at it in terms of contradiction - the engine of change in materialist dilectics. Because this is a great example of contradiction. The question shouldn't be "is it good that AOC comes to student protests or not?" The question should be: "How might AOC and establishment 'progressives' and more radical student movements mutually develop one another?"

In DiaMat we hold that things always change one another.

🧵 THREAD on how Henry Kissinger's diplomacy strategies led to the Gaza genocide:

Henry Kissinger, a key architect of the butcher of Cambodian, Lao, and Vietnamese civilians in the 60s and 70s, built the USA diplomatic principles of Realpolitik which the USA still employs today. Henry Kissinger Kissinger is 100 years old today and still does work for the USA state department. He is characteristically secretive about his ties to Joe Biden but they clearly have a relationship. Biden has favorably compared himself to Kissinger and sent Kissinger to China last year. Kissinger with Biden

Let's examine the striking similarities between the terrorist tactics of the USA during Operation Rolling Thunder in Vietnam in the 1960s and IDF terrorist tactics in Gaza today. American planes bombing Vietnam during Operation Rolling Thunder. Operation Rolling Thunder was the mass carpet bombing of Vietnam which began in March 1965. Like the IDF terror bombing of Gaza today, Rolling Thunder targeted civilian population centers, hospitals, infrastructure, etc. Vietnamese picking through rubble in devastated population center.

What is it like for children to be carpet bombed? Every Vietnamese person has knowledge of this, because we all have family and friends who lived through it. Here is some perspective from people in my life, as 1 million children of Gaza are indiscriminately bombed. Vietnamese civilians carrying bodies from the rubble of an American bombing raid on civilians. My mother was a school child when Americans relentlessly bombed her village for years. She tells stories of children she played with dying, of running from class to hide in ditches during air raids. To this day, she has panic attacks whenever she hears an airplane in the sky.

Vietnam and the US announced that the 2 countries will upgrade our relationship to Strategic Partnership for Peace, Cooperation and Stable Development.

Does this mean Vietnam has become a US “ally” in a military sense? …Nope! Now here’s what it really means: Vietnam and the US having an official announcement together Many Westerners think the new strategic partnership with USA = “alliance” against China, and that is what USA gov wants to imply. But we have had the same “strategic partnership” with China since 2008. Also have same strategic partnership with Russia, India, and RoK.

Explain in detail about the four no’s policy
Vietnam reaffirmed our four no foreign policy

🧵 THREAD on America's Bourgeois Revolution from Uncle Ho's perspective 🇻🇳

In "Revolutionary Path," Ho Chi Minh discusses the USA revolution in detail. Having spent time in the USA, he recognized it as a bourgeois revolution advancing interests of slaveholders and capitalists. "Although the American revolution was successful more than 150 years ago, American workers and peasants are still mired in poverty and thinking about a second revolution." This was written by Uncle Ho in 1927, even before the Depression, when millions of Americans were poor.

🧵 THREAD debunking rightwing propaganda.

I keep seeing this popping up in defense of Donald Trump as "representing the working class." Here's a thread on why this is total BS, along with some advice on how communists in the USA and other Western countries might agitate farmers. Image First, where does this data come from? The graphic is credited to Statista, which cites "Farm Journal"/"Wall Street Journal" as sources. The data itself comes from "Farm Journal Pulse" surveys conducted by AgWeb, owned by FOR-PROFIT company Farm Journal.

Short 🧵THREAD 🧵 on what is actually going on in the quoted tweet, based on Inventing Reality by Michael Parenti One thing that has REALLY shocked me in my time in the USA is just how much wall-to-wall media coverage about China there is here. Vietnam shares a border with China - and our media coverage of China PALES in comparison to the constant flood of anti-China propaganda in the USA! Image

"Thought experiments" where you think you can find truth through reason and thought alone is EXACTLY idealism and I don't care how many Western debate bros say otherwise. Truth is found through practical experience, theory must be grounded in reality, that is the core of diamat. Image The dialectical materialist position isn't "rape is bad because it's bad," as these dorks attempt to strawman. It's 100% obvious that rape is bad if you take a cursory glance at the mountains of accounts of lived experiences of centuries of rape victims and MATERIAL OUTCOMES.

My account exists primarily to teach people about Vietnamese communism. I've never demanded anyone follow our path, because you can't. Vietnam has unique history and material conditions. That said, let's unpack the chauvinism in many of the QTs and replies to threads like this... A lot of Westerners - even Westerners who call themselves "Marxist" - ridicule the idea of our "socialist-oriented market economy" without even considering what it means, how it exists, why it exists. It's dismissed out of hand because it sounds contradictory... because it IS.

Thread 🧵 on Absurd Hypotheticals

This infamous post from last year had countless white people debating hypothetical use of slurs for weeks. Perfect example of how argumentalist idealism (aka Debate Brain) leverages absurd hypotheticals to spread bigotry. Let's explore! My thread below defines idealism as it is used by the Western Debate Cultists like Ben Shapiro, but why the obsession with absurd hypotheticals which "justify" horrible acts? In part, as bigots, they simply enjoy these fantasies. But there's more to it...

THREAD🧵

The idealist mindset - the argumentalist religion of "debate" - has ruined Western politics entirely.

Hypotheticals do have a (small) place in practice (contingency planning, etc), but the more divorced from material reality/possibility, the more useless and idealist. Image Idealism comes in many forms, but it is in essence the belief that truth is sought primarily or entirely through human thought. This reliance on "mere thought substance" leads to what Engels called "false consciousness:" "Ideology is a process...

I've been in the US for about 3 months and lemme tell you, it fucking SUCKS!!!

To all non-Usians who are dreaming of the "American dreams", you better wake the fuck up and stop believing in those lies.

Why the US sucks, a thread: Food:

A fastfood meal (Waffle House, KFC...) is around $10-12$ per person, if you eat in a decent restaurant, it's $15-$25 😱

The ONLY affordable restaurant I found is Taco Bell, which is about $7 per person.

Fresh veggies is totally unaffordable. FUCKING WILD!!!

In materialist dialectics, a "contradiction" is just an interaction between two things, phenomena, and ideas which drives change and, by extension, development. Everything is always changing because of internal and external processes of mutual development (contradiction). Nothing changes anything else without being changed in return, and nothing can change spontaneously without some sort of internal or external contradiction/mutual development. "Contradiction" is simply referring to interactions between and within subjects which drives change.

People claim I never criticize Vietnam. Here's a big critique: I HATE that there are so many golf courses here! We're a jungle country! It brings in some tourism but I don't think it's worth it. Maybe it's irrational but I'd be happy if golf courses were banned here. 😤 Screen golf and put put are fine, though.

The Colt 1911 is a disturbing reminder of the relationship between ideology and the material world. It exists as a direct response to problems the USA military had with wiping out and conquering indigenous peoples in the Philippines. Today, this brutal and barbaric origin story is romanticized and used as a selling point by arms dealers in the West.
