I want to get a thread going to name the towns that were destroyed by this storm. The news won't say their names, neither will the politicians, but that doesn't mean we can't.
I want to see if we can't get towns that were out of harms way to adopt a town that got destroyed and send resources to help them rebuild.

If you can't see that the green agenda is going to result in substantial reductions in your liberty and overall quality of life including most likely movement restrictions, dietary restrictions, mandatory family planning, state controlled thermostats, etc you're NGMI.
Most of it won't be overt anytime soon. The first taste of that will be requiring electric vehicles. Then power grid and generation limitations will cause the rest with respect to energy control and movement.

I will say it again. You will never live freely until you give up your desire to control the behavior of other people.
You can always protect your rights as well of those of others and work with others to do so but it has to stop there.
The machinery you create to control other people will always be turned. You must smash those machines before you are wed to them by force.
It only gets more difficult the more powerful you let them get.

Given the threat to our economic and consequently political stability posed by the consequences of the curtailment of natural gas production, I would welcome a statement from the governors of producing states about what their intentions are in the future.
Assuming a second Biden term, it is probable that additional restrictions will be passed aimed at destroying domestic energy production. State governments must nullify such restrictions and ensure sufficient energy supplies.

Random thoughts on self defense type things for newly interested people. Vaguely in order, probably incorrect, do your own research. Etc.
Step 1. Handgun. Acquire a reliable handgun in a reasonable caliber (9mm preferred), a quality holster (no Serpa), at least 5 magazines, and several hundred rounds of ammo.

How's your night going? 11 hour cook, finished wonderfully.
Rub was roughly by parts 3 Lowry's salt, 1 black pepper, 2 garlic powder, 1 onion, 1 paprika, 1 smoked paprika, 2 dark brown sugar, just a smidge of Cayenne.

People with soft hands, no work boots, no combat experience, who think hunting is cruel and that the military is for dumb poor people, gleefully salivating over the prospect of a civil war in which they stand to lose everything and gain nothing is humorous to me. Idk why.
You dumbfucks don't seem to realize that the streets will run with blood. People will kill each other until no one can hide away from the smell of burning and rotting flesh. Will it take until you're wiping liquified bits of your friends from your eyes to see this is a bad idea?

Since it is the talk of the town lately, I'm going to cover what I personally consider to be the greatest books on war and military matters ever written.
I'm a filthy civilian so take this with a shot of schnapps and enjoy.
The absolute most important book to read and understand is The Art of War. This is the single best general guide to warfare as an art that has ever been written. It lacks explanatory expositions but as you learn more you will appreciate what he wrote more and more.

Based on my preliminary research, the derailed train of Vinyl Chloride is going to be something of a short term calamity with hopefully few long term effects. Apart from the cause of the derailment most everything else makes sense.
Vinyl Chloride is a highly flammable carcinogenic and monomer used to make plastic. It's really nasty stuff, bad for you down to at least 1 PPM, but you can only smell it starting at 10 PPM. It causes Cancer, liver issues, and is mutagenic in acute and chronic exposure.

How's your Saturday going?
Old outlet box had been loose since I purchased the house, today I took off the outlet to investigate and it was just in there loose. Replacing with an old work box. I also learned what an f clip is today.

My "get home bag" is pretty simple. A local topo map, compass, bit of food, water, battery pack for phone, tarp / ground sheet, knife, fire source, multitool, flashlight, vi-vis vest and hardhat, gloves, extra socks and underwear, and my carry gun.
All in an old dirty backpack.
No, the hi-vis vest isn't for road safety. In my area there is a lot of construction work all the time. Being able to pass as a construction worker, at least at a distance is part of my idea of extending my mobility and evasion abilities. Probably don't suggest that for everyone.

When we chose to have kids, I took most of my long term plans for myself and professional development, crumpled them up and threw them in the trash. Decades of dreams gone and I don't regret it a bit. I get so much more out of raising my kids than I could build myself otherwise.
There are always struggles. Subordinating yourself to your child and wife, to ensure their needs are met - the role of the father. When you become a father you take your place in an unbroken chain extending backwards to the dawn of time. From the first life to yours, connected.

So, the whole ban situation. I originally said what is pictured below. My gut reaction was horror at how people were responding to this. I deleted to give myself time to think things out more, now here it is. I'll try to keep it short.
So it looks like the bans were over TOS violations, fine, that makes it justifiable in a way, I guess. People shouldn't be endangering others online and Elon is within his right to do whatever on his platform. All fine.

As to the shock that DMs are not private..
Folks, assume everything that is not in your physical possession is known to your worst enemy. All electronic communication is subject to compromise in ways you don't even understand. Yes, even encrypted data can be gotten at sometimes.
Every layer in the system is subject to compromise. Silicon, your electrical connection, firmware, operating system, applications, ISP, Certificates, DNS, all of it can be made to work against you.

If someone points you to this thread it is because you have made a statement like "armed civilians can't beat our modern army" and people want to tell you that you are wrong.
I consider this a public service to help you understand why you are mistaken instead of posting memes.
I'll start by saying that you aren't entirely wrong, at least depending on how you define things. Armed civilians in direct confrontations with superior military force would be take severe casualties.
Don't get too excited because you've missed something - how conflict works.
