Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed has admitted privately that his government was misled by intelligence reports regarding the controversial Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Somaliland signed on 1st January, 2024 which sought to  granting Addis Ababa 50-year navel access to a strip of coastline on the Gulf of Aden without approval from international recognized Somalia government. 

Abiya’s admission bears striking similarities to the infamous case of former U.S. Secretary of State Colin Powell 2003 presentation at the UN Security Council, where he justified the Iraq War based on flawed intelligence about weapons of mass destruction (WMDs) information that later proved to be false.

1- Somalia didn’t sue Kenya for Martine delimitation but Pres HSM asked the court to make international recognized maritime border btw 🇸🇴 & 🇰🇪. THAT IS EXCTLy WHAT SOMALIA DID GET! 2.
