Those who follow the issues closely might expect DCC Maggie Blyth's report into Violence Against Women & Girls to have a section on 'Male Victims of VAWG crimes' as Home Office continues to insist 'VAWG' is a crime type, not restricted to female victims. > bbc.co.uk/news/articles/… Indeed when @HomeOfficeUK commissioned this report, they told us & our colleagues at @MankindInit, @ThisIsSurvivors & other men's charities that the study WOULD be including male victims, and invited us to initial meetings as expert advisors.

This is Ally (MBC Chair) here. The Trustees of our board have been promoting #InternationalMensDay in the UK through various vehicles since 2009. We have faced mockery, indifference & sometimes outright abuse, > but we always knew IMD would be a day where we came together to raise awareness and funds for men's charities, campaign on just causes and promote positive conversations about men & masculinity. Today it really feels like we got there. >
