Just watched "Mission Kandahar" - A wild imagination gone wrong!!

But more interesting is the set of actors in the movie:

CIA - played by Gerard Butler.
ISI - by Ali Fazli (Indian actor, Mirza Pur fame).
Iranians & Afghans - Played by their relative diaspora.

Some thoughts 1/n Image Plot Summary:

- CIA agents infiltrated Iranian underground nuclear facility, managed to destroy it & in a follow up, another facility to be destroyed but this time to be entered in Iran from Afg. In the meanwhile, Iranian spy agency figured out the agent (Butler). 2/n ImageImage

More to this ( A 🧵): 🇵🇰's delegation reportedly talked about specifities regarding TTP leadership hiding particularly in Kabul. The spring offensive which TTP is yet to announce also came under discussion & Pak delegation urged IEA leadership to take solid steps against TTP. 1/6 If this issue of TTP is not addressed seriously by IEA leadership, the matter of regional cooperation may go down the drain. Which entails:

- Hurdles & subsequent halt in the development of strategic economic corridors and projects such TAPI, Trans Afg Railway network etc. 2/6

Dhoop ki Deewar - There is a complete media strategy involved.

Attached are two posters which will be propagated. Where "Shahadat concept" will be properly trolled & that too "free of cost".

How did it happen? A brief thread 1st element - Umaira Ahmed, Peer e Kamil fame. She is a known fiction writer of Pak with a tendency to establish religious elements through her writings. Who else would be the best choice but Umaira to make concept of "Shaheed" controversial & source of grief and misery? - 2

On Pakistan - Saudi Arabia Relations (A Thread)

When states interact, there is always a two way traffic. Lets go through some ground facts before jumping to conclusions like many of us did in past two weeks. + 2 - In Pakistan there is a habit of taking things out of context, making mockery of ourselves and also presenting half baked analysis. Pakistan and Saudi Arabia are no two different cases when it comes down to state craft, IR and prevailing geo-political scenarios. +

(Thread) Terrorists have a new media outlet.

There is a strange nexus. Will talk abt it in last four tweets.

During their peak days, terrorists inside Pak didn't need any kind of assistance to project their actions. AQ had As-Sahab Media network, TTP had "Umar Media". -1/10 Their media networks worked within our cities, spreading footage of their actions, speeches, statements through CDs, DVDs &later on through internet. Mainstream media of Pak also played a very casual role in this regard and gave them all what they wanted - "Live coverage" - 2/10

1 - If anybody is confused about #PTM. They should revisit the history of #TTP in Pakistan.

We were confused about them. We didnt know how to deal with them. Numerous peace pacts and Jirgas were carried out only to be sabotaged later on by a violent act or statement. #TTP enjoyed support of Pakistanis, either through direct assistance or through indirect help. They were taken as disgruntled, opressed people by armed forces (front line allies, NaPak army etc) People used to hate forces. All that led to a mayhem and dark time period of Pakistan
