In the past two days I have decided be 20 interviews, several with two of the incredible young women we at The Maggie Oliver Foundation have been supporting for several years, Jade and Chantelle. They are incredible girls, who through the support my team have given them, by believing in them, encouraging them, and fighting alongside them have helped empower them so they’ve now found their voices and are beginning to fly! As they should!!!!
That’s all every survivor needs. Encouragement, support, consistency, care - not neglecting, blaming, judging, criminalising, abandoning
And that’s why now I hope with those at the top so publicly exposed for their gross criminal neglect over many years, we will FINALLY have the conversations we need and the changes future generations MUST SEE, to ensure we don’t continue to see children’s lives destroyed on an industrial scale!
ThAnkyou Baroness Casey for listening to them, to me, and for not ducking away from the truth of what has been happening.
As a country we needed this to be said on this platform, and I’m am very grateful to you for spelling out the neglect I’ve seen so clearly.
