Last day before the election! Today I'll do my final thread, covering a string of seats in Melbourne's east.

1/23 🧵 Image šŸ”µ MENZIES (VIC)

First seat today is the "Liberal" seat of Menzies - Keith Wolahan succeeded long time incumbent Kevin Andrews last election by just 0.7% against Labor.
This time, a redistribution has made the seat notionally a Labor seat.

4 days left - Today, I'll be covering a string of seats in Sydney, stretching from wealthier (more Liberal) areas in the north, to working class areas in Sydney's west.

1/21 🧵 Image šŸ”µ BEROWRA (NSW)

First seat today is Berowra - Which covers areas like Hornsby, Glenhaven, and well, Berowra.

Since its creation in 1969, this seat has been won by the Liberals *every* single election, but that could change.

8 days until election day, can you believe it! Here's another thread on interesting seats to keep track of as the election approaches - this time focusing on electorates in WA.

1/24 🧵 Image šŸ”µ FORREST (WA)

Starting off with Forrest today - located in WA's south west corner, covering areas like Bunbury, Busselton and Margaret River.
It's voted for the Libs since 1972, and has generally been safe until 2022, when Labor cut Nola Marino's margin to 4%.

With the Queensland election coming up, I figured this would be a good time to post a thread about the election campaign! Over the next few days, I'll write threads on some of the key seats to look out for.

1/24 🧵 Image Lets start with some background information on the government.
Queensland, a traditional LNP stronghold at a federal level, has had a Labor government for 30 of the past 35 years.

SHOCKING results in France - Here's a thread on the major underperformance of Le Pens RN, and the gamble by Macron that has led to a shock left-wing victory.

1/18 🧵 Image First, lets learn of these parties to better understand this result.

🟨 Renaissance - a centrist party, founded in 2016 by Macron.
He's won 2 presidential elections since, winning 66% and 60% in 2017 & 2022 against Le Pen. The party leads an alliance called Ensemble.

Today, the AEC has released new boundary propositions for Victoria and WA. In this thread, I'll be diving into the big changes in Inner Melbourne and how this affects some of our incumbent MPs and, more importantly, the next election!

1/10 🧵 Image Firstly, the inner north seat of Wills, held by Labor's Peter Khalil, will gain the Green areas of Fitzroy and Carlton North from Melbourne - Making the challenge from Victorian Greens leader @SamanthaRatnam even stronger. Definitely one to keep an eye on!
