1. We need more workers, irrespective of where from. We have shortages in almost every profession and 1.3 million EU workers left the UK & returned to the EU when Tory MPs & our MSM made it clear that they weren't wanted. Patel & Braverman did their level best to get rid. 1/
2/ That's a huge workforce shortage across every industry! We all know now that the EU were clamping down on tax evasion in all their Member States & greedy Tory MPs & their billionaire friends, backed by Nigel Farage, Arron Banks & Vote Leave literally wrecked the UK economy 🙄

@Keir_Starmer @wesstreeting @AngelaRayner @TheBMA I just spoke to my GP's practice, my epilepsy meds cannot get through customs, Novartis have been contacted (Manufacturer) they have tried to get meds into our country, the bureaucracy put in place by the Tories is STOPPING 1/2/ hundreds of prescription meds from getting to wholesalers and into our GPs. It is only a matter of time before there is a fatality. We need this addressed URGENTLY. It is not a global issue, it is a supply chain issue caused by Brexit. #WeMustAddressThePrescriptionShortagesNOW

Longish thread about Brexit and supply chains for medication and shortages caused by them. Having worked for over 9 years in all in a pharmacy, I have a rough idea of how everything works. Pre Brexit, anyone on long-term meds would receive a 3 or 6 month prescription, 1/2/ This all changed with supply issues after Brexit, our government in their lack of wisdom changed prescriptions to 28 days, allegedly to counteract waste, this was not however the case & pharmacies have struggled since. They told us that suppliers would have a 6 week supply
