Based on simple vote data from ECI site, seems BJP has damaged BRS on about 12 assembly segments. Also BRS has just got saved despite BJP votes in many other seats.
If BJP was not in the picture & these 12 seats were with BRS, the revised tally will be :

Cong 52
BRS 51
BJP 8 Seats won by Cong in Telangana where BJP got more votes than victory margin,
Khanapur : Cong won by 4702 (BJP got 52,398)
Bodhan : Cong won by 3062 votes (BJP got 33,555)
Nizamabad Rural : Cong won by 21,963 votes (BJP got 49,723)
Jukkal : Cong won by 1152 votes (BJP got 28,437)

Interesting analysis by Bhau Torsekar. Pawar was alarmed at Uddhav stealing the limelight within MVA. The vajramuth sabhas had Uddhav as the main face.

Uddhav is the main beneficiary of the MVA as he get Maratha brigade ideology votes from NCP & muslim & neo Buddhist from Cong His voters in rural are unlikely to be fully transferred to Cong n NCP. As his voters are OBC and marginalized Marathas. NCP n Cong base is privileged Marathas big land owning farmers.
Nor are UBTs Hindu Maratha voters likely to vote for Cong's muslim or Hindi speaking candidates

Only one mistake by Shri @PawarSpeaks during the formation of the MVA alliance & govt in 2019.
And that was to insist that Uddhav Thackeray should be the CM (Uddhav has claimed this was NCP & Congress demand)
My guess is this was natural thought given that NCP is a dynastic party If the MVA had gone ahead with @mieknathshinde as CM of the MVA govt & Uddhav playing politics the way of Balasaheb, this govt would still have been ruling.

There are few reasons why I think so,
1. Uddhav has been a good backroom strategist, but lacks admin skills & charisma

The official NCP if it does not split can never go with the BJP in an alliance, even if Ajit Pawar becomes the NCP chief. This is because the NCP is now the second biggest party in MH & leagues ahead of Congress and Sena UBT.

Why go as number 2 in an alliance with the BJP? No party would relinquish the number 1 position in an alliance. Look at how the Sena fumed after 2014 after BJP overtook it as the biggest NDA partner.
That anger culminated in Usdhav jumping ship and forming the MVA.

Why would the NCP want to revive Congress now by jumping ship

Great presentation of upcoming mega projects in Mumbai by @sanjeevsanyal

Main points -
1. Mumbai coastal road will add 7.5 to 10 km of promenade to the west coast of Mumbai
2. Allow quick transit between island city and the suburbs 3. Once the coastal road is fully constructed till Virar, it will decongest the Western Express Highway (WEH) which carries 60% of road traffic of Mumbai
4. Mumbai Metro 3 is arterial line of the Mumbai metro network, which will create passenger carrying capacity of 8 million/day

Precursor to BMC election will be fought on 3 Nov.
The Andheri East bypoll held coz Sena MLA Ramesh Latke passed away due to Covid.
It is a fight between his widow Rutuja Latke from Sena Uddhav camp vs Murji Patel from BJP. In 2019 assembly election, Murji had rebelled n contested against Latke who was the NDA candidate.

Murji Patel got nearly 46000 votes n lost by about 17000 to Latke. Congress candidate got approx 28000 votes.

High possibility that Nitish Kumar has given a lollipop to Tejasvi Yadav telling him that you will be CM, once I become the PM in 2024.

After the LS 2024 election, Nitish will return to NDA fold and remain the CM. For some reason, Modi ji has a soft corner for him. Hope this scenario does not work out and the BJP Bihar unit leadership (minus Sushil Modi) gets a chance to build the party stronger for LS 2024 and Assembly 2025 election.
Sometimes losing power can become a boon in the long run. BJP can finally shake off Nitish Kumar for good.

This party rebellion in Nagathane assembly where few shakha pramukhs and other officials have gone with rebel Sena MLA Prakash Surve is significant.
Sena had won 6/7 wards under the Magathane (Borivali East) assembly seat.
If Sena (Uddhav) are to lose 3 out of 6, it is a big loss If Shinde group wins 15-25 odd wards in BMC, they can support BJP towards a majority as BJP is going to cross 100 wards comfortably (Majority mark 119).
Sena (Uddhav) may struggle to get 40-50 wards and that too depends on how well they manage to save their party orgn in Mumbai

Btw in all this news the Sena MLA from Guhagar and ex minister in Cong NCP govt Bhaskar Jadhav is away from any media limelight.

I sold laugh if you say he is loyal to Uddhav. His journey is from Sena -> NCP -> Sena. When a NCP convert like Uday Samant who was a cabinet minister in the MVA govt, jumped ship I wonder where Bhaskar Jadhav is.

Either Shinde or BJP have vetoed his name or he would eventually join. Though he aint getting a ministry in Shindeshahi as things look right now

One thing I like about Devendra this time that he has started working on his agenda and decisions that were reversed by UT and Pawar.
UT put the Aarey metro car shed on hold and Pawar put decisions like direct election of sarpanch and JalYuktShivar on hold In fact an investigation was started on JalYuktShivar and didn't go much ahead.
UT n son AT also tried to find an alternative to Aarey and failed. Kanjurnarg was already gong to be tough and anyways it was a poor choice considering the alignment of Metro 3

As these Metro lines 2A and 7 start partial operation in the next 2 months and full operation by the end of this calendar year, will like to commend planning by ex CM Fadnavis.
There are political and economical reasons to make these lines even before Metro 3 (main line) 60% of vehicular traffic in Mumbai uses the Western Express Highway (WEH) between Bandra and Bhayandar or the New link Road between Bandra (West) and Dahisar (link road converges towards the WEH at the Dahisar check naka).

BJP is going aggressively after Shiv Sena. In Mumbai Sena has only 20% vote share left. That is of lower middle class and poor Marathis living in chawls and slums. Mostly in areas like Bhandup, Vikhroli, Kurla, Lalbaug, Parel or slums in Jogeshwari. Except Dadar in no other place does the upper middle class Marathi vote for the Sena in large numbers.
Sena has no hopes of getting votes of 45% Gujaratis, Marwaris, Hindi bhashiks, Kannadigas, Tamilians or Telguites except in few pockets like Dharavi. Thus BJP has a solid 50%

The Shiv Sena who claims their party name from.the great Maratha king Chhatrapati Shivaji maharaj is now going into minority pandering by renaming a garden in Gowandi (Mankhurd, Mumbai) after the muslim ruler of Mysore, Tipu Sultan.

This is a bit ironic and I show how.

The Maratha regiment in the Indian army was formed from the Bombay presidency army from pre independence era.

‘Seedaseer’ is one of oldest battle honours won by the Marathas in 1799. The 1st and 2nd Battalions fought as part of the Bombay Army against Tipu Sultan.

Dear countrymen n countrywomen,
If u wanna know how Rahul Gandhi will perform as a PM, I have a local example for you.
Uddhav Thackeray of MH. No administrative experience before he was forced on CM chair by his mentor Pawar (who needs enemies with friends like this)
1/n
Uddhav has somewhat better track record in managing his regional party Shiv Sena than RaGa the lucky sperm has with Congress.
But as a CM you have to listen more to the voters and not give adesh to fawning party minions.
Uddhav has been completely found lacking in this.

Guys those of you angry on Penguin army trying to take credit for Metro 7 & 2A dont fret. Media may give credit to MVA or Sena.

But remember the genius of Fadnavis. He started with Metro 7 & 2A for two reasons,
1. WEH and link road carry > 60% of Mumbai road traffic.

1/n
Hence starting first metro routes (after Metro 1) from Dahisar to Andheri belt was justified.
2. Bandra-Dahisar belt is BJP area. 8 MLAs & 47 corporators (out of 83) from this belt. This time BJP can easily get 55-60 corporators from this belt (remember majority mark is 114)

Mumbai charts for vaccination (shared by Ms. Ashwini Bhide in a tweet). Check the vaccination details for 18-44 yr age group.
1,30,188 people in this age group got first dose till now. Out of those 94,638 got their vaccinations from private (hospitals paid/ corporates). Overall 30.9 lakh doses in Mumbai of which 23.47 lakh are first doses. Nearly 18 lakh of these are 45+ citizens and remaining HCW, FLW and 18-44 yr citizens.

23.47 people getting atleast 1 dose is about 26% of the total eligible citizenry of approx. 90 lakhs under BMC area.

A controversial take on petrol price hike. Petrol price was between 85-90 in 2013. It is now at 100 rupees. My salary has nearly doubled in these 8 years. While petrol prices have increased in double digit percentage. But that is not the main point. UPA was subsidizing petrol n diesel prices by making OMCs absorb losses and part compensating them via electoral bonds. Hence the govt was providing a petrol subsidy to the middle class, upper middle class and the rich. This class is salaried or into business.

Historically Congress-NCP has always treated Mumbai (and MMR) as a hen that lays golden eggs. Money made from Mumbai is to be funneled back to their rural constituencies. No attempt was made to improve problems like commute in Mumbai by any Congress-NCP led govt ever. Check out any major project in Mumbai (or MMR). It has always been started by BJP leaders. Nitin Gadkari as PWD minister built 55 flyovers in Mumbai, completed the Mumbai-Pune expressway and started work on the Bandra-Worli sea link. UPA govt inflated the cost for the sea link

What a perfect Googly by the Modi government !!

Read this ANI thread carefully. Vaccine market opened up. Now states cribbing that centre not giving us vaccines can buy directly from the manufacturers.

States will get vaccines from centre quota (50% of monthly vaccines produced) based on performance. Perform well on vaccination and get more quota. Perform badly and your quota decreases.
Even then states cannot crib as you can buy directly from manufacturers.

Narayan Rane the ex CM of Maharashtra has helped to get jobs for a lot of youth originally from Konkan but now in Mumbai, in enterprises like BEST etc. Many of these youth used to go to Konkan to campaign for him during elections.
#BMC2022 Mumbai has a huge population from Konkan historically as it is part of the coastline. Over the last century, the city grew n attracted more migrants. I myself am a 5th generation migrant from Konkan.
Hence Narayan Rane and family can help reach out to a lot of voters

Look at how fresh @PawarSpeaks saheb is looking nowadays. The lure of power makes people young. Pawar kaka is trying one last attempt at being PM.
First objective is to get Gandhis give up claim to throne for 2024 and support a third front consensus candidate Will be hard but dont rule out Pawar trying to get secular establishment to put pressure on Gandhis to relent. Today Praful Patel and Sanjay Raut are talking about it. Tomorrow someone like a Ramchandra Guha may talk about it.
