There will be a lot of speculation on the Uncommitted vote coming out of Minnesota today. What many may not understand is how deeply purple Minnesota is. The reason it’s Blue is because of a wide range of coalition partners that work closely together to build a people powered democracy. Minnesota is an action oriented state.

This weekend at my table a guest thought it was appropriate to challenge me on how I as a Native American can stand with Israel’s right to defend herself and somehow also believe in Palestinian self determination. They thought it appropriate to tell me that my understanding of history and how I understand sacrifice for peace was flawed at my table. They thought it appropriate to question my theory of change when they were a guest at my table. I was beyond offended. I was outraged.
