Havent looked at the Swedish gun violence stats for a while, but preliminary December data is out.
The winter slow down appear to have entered, but this is in fact the highest 3mo-average for december recorded (29.33) - but not by much. A typical number is 28.33.
Since last I checked (two months ago) the stats have been revised up a bit. May +1 (35), August +2 (43), September +1 (28) and October +3 (40). So expect the low Nov (27) -Dec (21) numbers will be revised up a bit eventually.

I've tweeted a lot about the police shooting stats in Sweden, but on the same webpage the police also report bomb attacks - broken down on detonations, attempts and preparations.
I have only tracked detonations, but lets take a look.
polisen.se/om-polisen/pol…
Between 2018 and July 2021 there has been 381 registered detonations in Sweden.
There have been a few months with very high numbers, but currently we are at about 8 per month.

Police released updated gun violence stats now (updated to august 15th).
Shootings in June revised to 33 (-1), juli 35 (+1)
Injured in July 12 (-1) and dead in june 3 (-1). Both Stockholm.
Revising the number of dead down seems odd, something re-classified somehow I guess.
Trying to google. One man was shot to death in Sätra (Stockholm), June 20th.

Illegal firearm discharges in Gothenburg, Linköping and Stockholm yesterday. Two dead in Stockholm.
This summer is bad, and the unusually low rate of gun violence we saw during the winter is entirely gone.
Looking at casualties instead, the situation looks less bad.
But still not good, and compared to further back in time these levels of gun violence are incredibly high.

Tomorrow & day after tomorrow I’m going to try to visit all the vulnerable neighborhoods of Gothenburg to make systematic observations of facilities & services in their centers as part of an evaluation I am doing. I’ll see if I can tweet a bit about it.
Now on the tram towards the northeastern police district of Gothenburg, where six of the vulnerable neighborhoods can be found. The national police list 60 such neighborhoods in all of Sweden, so this police district has the most.
