In evaluating universities for my kids, we have found that it is possible to stay out of debt and afford college for nearly all populations.

Here are some tips.... 1) Choose a college you can afford.

In some states like Tennessee, community college is FREE to residents and in-state tuition to state schools can be as low as $6,500 (WKSU in Kentucky is one) minus room, board and books.

I’ve been taking on in-person adult clients for the past few months because I love training.

I hadn’t trained adults in-person for over 20 years but have mentored people on how to train folks and have coached thousands of people online.

Here is what I have learned…. 1. Most people have a great work ethic and want to perform, they just lack the knowledge of how to optimize it. This is where I come in. No wasted time, significantly less injury risk and with someone like me, your risk of injury in daily life will be cut significantly.

Just had a moment.

I’ve been so overwhelmed with my businesses and family lately that it all boiled over and I was on the verge of a meltdown.

I sat down and talked to my wife.

And she listened.

Everything is in perspective now and I’m more motivated than ever.

Inflation is crazy. What I have noticed is the most basic, whole foods have increased the least compared to packaged goods. If you think about it, it makes sense.

The packaging, printing and freight have all skyrocketed. This all plays a role in the price. Beef, potatoes and carrots, for example, require less of all three of these factors.

Plus the nutrient density of these foods will keep you healthy and satiated beyond the packaged goods found in your grocery store.

Did 8 sets of 2 on squats yesterday and hit 385!

Getting stronger daily, not even getting sore and my physique is improving daily.

Long term strength and health while being able to step onstage in 4-6 weeks is the goal! No pain, no injuries and THINGS ARE CLICKING! Health is everything and I urge all of my fellow 40+ year olds to get your blood work checked for everything from metabolic panel to hormones.

The Buffalo Bar gets a lot of looks here, and for good reason. Used a lot in squatting, it has tremendous application for benching because it allows for an even fuller range of motion compared to the barbell for maximum muscle activation and development.

High school soccer season is over and I have a new training partner!

@kamilobliner is already stronger than most grown men so our focus for this offseason is hypertrophy and absolute speed. Her acceleration is great but top speed can use some work. Why hypertrophy? We build more muscle, there will be more fibers to generate more strength and power!

And how to we train absolute speed? Many ways but it requires field work, wall drills and I’ll also break out some sleds and bungees.

Bodybuilding is part of who I am.

Do I enjoy the gym like I did in my 20's? Nope. Hell no. I like training but I don’t NEED to train. I could do without it. Image But I love being big, I love being muscular and I love feeling the way I do - full of energy and mentally ready at all times of the day.

I don’t aim to be this lean, it is just a byproduct of my lifestyle.

I’m a form nazi.

FOR MOST SETS.

One all out set. Max weight. Max reps. BEYOND FAILURE!

Form is loose and intensity is high.

When I add these in I grow the most.

What you don’t see are the 3-4 sets before this with PERFECT form, done 3-4 reps shy of failure. To grow optimally, you have to push beyond your limits, and that can sometimes mean you get a little crazy.

Plus, training methodically all the time would suck. Sometimes you just want to blast the 5 Finger Death Punch and lift like a madman.

When we took this picture this week, I was just eating instinctually, not force-feeding. My weight got down to 203 pounds! Also, a rare shot of me not flexing, this is me just standing there with no filters I’m aware of. At this leanness, I noticed I didn’t feel as well. I felt amazing, but I usually feel beyond amazing. I guess my muscle wants to stay and my fat will keep dropping. Thus, I started walking this week and I’m already up to 207 pounds. I feel much better!

I have a funny story about Kroger today.

Walked by a dude with a full face mask, reflective face shield and weighed about 120 - looked antifa.

I unintentionally stared, you don’t see this in Franklin, TN ever.

As he walked by and got distance….

1/4 He said, “What are you looking at” mumbled due to his mask and shield.

I then said, “You, and don’t try to be tough, but you look absurd, I couldn’t help but stare.”

This nice lady walks by and laughs and says, “ My word, what is that?”

He kept walking 😂

Yesterday was a ridiculous leg day with Jose Raymond and Nate Telow and my appetite was a bit off because of it. I’m 40. I’ll be competing against kids younger and with less stuff going on in their lives to distract from bodybuilding.

Nobody cares.

Feeling my best EVER!

213lbs, energy is INSANE and I feel healthier than ever. Joints are feeling great and remember when people would say I had HGH gut due to my IBS? Yup, distention no more!

People say I wouldn’t be able to do this without HRT, and they are right. I have low testosterone levels and WHY NOT safely optimize my life!? I box 3+ times a week and lift 6-7 days a week while being an active Dad, coaching and managing 5+ businesses.

Conditioning update taken last night after riding go-carts and eating BBQ.

I understand this isn’t attractive to most people, but that’s okay. I’ve taken charge of my health, stay extremely active and eat micronutrient-rich foods. Since dropping from 228 to 220 this past week I feel light, healthy and my endurance in boxing has been superb.

When a lot of people lose weight, they get skinny and just look like a smaller version of themselves.
