I'll answer them point by point, but first. a disclaimer: after checking your debate with Ben, I believe that there is no amount of evidence or argument that would lead you to accept you are wrong because this is an identity issue for you + @DivinelyDesined This will fail to change your mind but it could be helpful for those trying to find the better argument.
1. Your claim predicts proteins can’t evolve new functions without breaking, yet we observe exactly that in antibiotic resistance, enzyme evolution, and gene divergence.

@DivinelyDesined There are several conceptual mistakes here. l'll try my best to address them one by one, hope you reply afterwards.
First, you assume that evolution searches protein space from scratch when it doesn’t. Evolution modifies already functional proteins through incremental changes. @DivinelyDesined Second, your reply assumes only one sequence works, but that’s false. Many different aa' sequences can produce similar folds and functions. Functional proteins form connected networks, not isolated needles in a haystack, like you want them to look.
