Astro (advanced)

Astro market data is often compelling, but also slippery, and it resists typical quant approaches.

Why?

Because the planets are always kaleidoscopically changing! The planet backdrop changes, & data changes - and this often makes sense from the astro view. For example, how much data do we have for Moon in Cancer over the last 15 years that does NOT have an opposition to Pluto by sign?

Answer - almost none, this condition just started THIS WEEK!

It's funny that after being pounding table bearish from 8/18 all the way to 9/28-30, and calling for a bounce week this week

It seems I did not nail it enough

Look, whether final low is in remains to be seen

I did not say this week would go lower however 9/28 FIRST TIME I started talking about turn

DXY high, VIX high, ZN ZB (bond futures) low remains 9/28

While maintaining that Friday would tank stocks & cryptos with FOMC chatter about inflation - nailed for Indexes

1. Indexes had a strong bounce from lower monthly Bollinger bands in July & last week reclaimed some long-term levels (details to follow). This move catching most by surprise & some bullish strategists even declaring end to bear market! 2. NDX Monthly tag of lower band in June and healthy reply in July (DJI & SPX mostly similar)

Couple more posts on yday's aspect of Mercury 90' Mars

ES (SPX futures) 5min with arrow at 3:10 bar, aspect was 3:12, around 50 points up since

cryptos to follow BTC & ETH

ETH now +$140ish

I'm not so worried about Mars-Uranus-NN in spite of astro chatter

Sure this could produce some earthquake but these are rarely market moving events

Reasons to follow Uranus-NN is helping Mars in Taurus

Mars in Taurus usually would be weaker per astro detriment & bear market data (SPX) but here indexes & cryptos doing better since Mars in Taurus

I credit the Uranus NN conj since big rally started with this within 1' (using mean NN position)

13-14 July is a key swing low for both Indexes & Cryptos

This was near Full Moon in Capricorn, but I think something bigger with ES up 225+ points & ETH +50% in just 6 days

And that seems to be NN conjunct Uranus within 1' (using mean positions)

This fits what market has done This is exact on 26-July but still same degree (partile) through 1-Aug

Plus Jupiter station 28-July probably adding to general optimism even with rate hikes - Jupiter in Aries will find a reason to be confident

If these ideas correct then this area key swing high

As mentioned I don't have time to sort out everything these days but let's just observe

Idea of Sun and Mercury in Cancer was 'freakout'

Not all wrong but not quite - what is going on is HUGE DXY rally so this is global flight to safe haven This is pressuring commodities quite a lot so the "big move in commodities" per video idea is selling

Not just oil on recession fears but gold (nearly worthless rock) and all associated getting hit too

2 terrifying real-world charts ahead Balance sheet unwind hasn't even begun

All they have done is stop increasing at 8.9T (8.9T from mid Feb to now)

Technical reasons for next swing up (indexes & cryptos):

SPX (& others) weekly close far outside Bollinger - these are pretty rare even in severe bear markets

Some do go lower, but the quants probably have all the stats on these & likely better r/r to long Weekly & daily RSIs pretty low here

Again would be nice to have the data on this but SPX weekly RSI 30.4 (30.2 on mid May low), daily RSI 31.7

Here's 2008 and you can see weekly RSI <30 only a few weeks of this -50% decline

Recent swing lows may not last for weeks - Sun sqr Neptune Thurs likely to drop, Sun in Cancer weak in bear markets

But right now -
ES (SPX futures) low 14-June 3:00 PM ET (30m bar)
BTC low 15-June 5:30 AM ET (30m) Context:

ES futs made swing high on 7-June at 4164 and then plunged nearly straight down for a whole week, -11% in 5 days *

BTC made a high on 6-June at 31745 & low just above 20K for -36% in 9 days

*ES does trade small portion on Sunday but daily bar doesn't really show this

Definitely thought Jupiter changing signs from Pisces to Aries (recent change from purple to red) had chance to turn markets, especially with YS1s holding on DJI SPX NYA BTC

Yesterday's slam was disappointing

But possible, like 2018, a combination is needed... In 2018 Q4 Jupiter changed signs to a stronger position, yet one more plunge - after that, rally time!

What was the culprit then?

Looks like Mars in Pisces (purple) because that was the entire last gasp plunge in Dec 2018
