Jesus' entire ministry was going to people who were denied a place at the table and giving them the best spot at the table (prostitutes, tax collectors, lepers, etc).

He kicked off his public ministry by asking a Samaritan woman for a drink -- a cultural barrier bashing event. His harshest words were against the religious leaders of the day -- many of whom said they followed God but lived and acted differently.

These were the people who spent their days pointing out the sins of others but never looking at themselves.

A "brood of vipers."

I have to take a second and go back to this op-ed from James MacDonald in ⁦@CTmagazine⁩.

Specifically, this quote:

“So much damage to so many innocent people – that is what, after six years, prompted us to study the Scriptures afresh..." christianitytoday.com/ct/2018/novemb… I once witnessed James MacDonald scold a woman to tears because her cell phone rang during his sermon at Harvest Orlando.

She wept infront of the entire congregation.

Was that “damage to an innocent person?”
