Take a moment to appreciate the incredible life of Fumihiro Hishikawa, Konami's president from 1987 to 1992.
Hishikawa was born near Kobe in 1925. He was vocally opposed to Japan's militarism, but he was conscripted into the military in 1945.
He was assigned to Nagasaki...
The train he was riding on was passing by Hiroshima when the first atomic bomb was dropped, and Hishikawa was exposed to radiation from the bomb.
He then arrived at Nagasaki and was just 2.7 km from ground zero of the second atomic bomb explosion...
