The @instagram accounts of women challenging gender identity ideology, including my own — both my public page and my podcast page @thesamedrugs_ — are being targeted. Our upcoming event at the Cowichan Community Centre is being targeted by protesters. The women who speak out and organize against this ideology and legislation do it on their own dime and at their own risk. This targeting does not seem to happen to men in the same way — we need the support of the men speaking out against gender identity ideology who have resources, bigger platforms, apparent security in speaking out. We are banned, silenced, censored, bullied, threatened, cancelled, and shadowbanned into obscurity with little recourse. It's hard to fight when you are hidden from or deleted from the internet, when venues won't host you, when people are afraid to show up... The truth is that what trans activists want is what most cannot give: they may well feel 'hurt' that people don't see them as they want to be seen, but that is an unsolvable problem... You can't force people to see things your way if they don't.
