I don’t consider myself a complementarian. I also haven’t resonated much w/ egalitarianism (that’s a story for another day & in some ways I’m still figuring out if I fit there). But I think these conversations re: complementarianism in the SBC are important, on Twitter & beyond.
Most of the women I work alongside are complementarians in the SBC (my mom is one of them) and what they are facing matters to me. There is a form of complementarianism that is so dark and driven by misogynism that I no longer can be charitable about it.
