@nocontextfm1 Like, without ever actually controlling them? Bear with me, yeah?

This is one of the older FM-versions. I was managing PSG (pre-Qatar era) and I had a sublime German newgen coming through the ranks, Sascha Schreiber. He was good, like potential Ballon d'Or winner good. /1 @nocontextfm1 When he was 21 or so, a player from Le Havre broke Schreiber's leg, stalling his development for 8 months and robbing me of my potential star. I decided to take my revenge by fucking destroying Le Havre. I was quite methodical about it all too. For starters, ... /2

Now this is the story all about how
My save got flipped, turned upside down
And I'd like to take a minute, just sit right there
I'll tell you how I became short throw-ins made the opposition despair So sorry (not really) about butchering that classic. Anyway, you came here for FM22 stuff and not me reminiscing about old-time TV shows. Shorts throws are super effective if set up right. I know that because the AI did it to me.

How can you blow a 3-0 lead in an epic saga replete with grandiose errors, magnificent errors, and misplaced ideas of grandeur. It was a chilly autumn evening when we arrived. As soon as I finished tucking my daughter into bed, I wanted to play another game or two or three before preparing for my lessons the next day.

An Indonesia update. I also took over our U23's, in an effort to raise our profile faster. With the Asian Games coming up, there was a serious chance of us winning some silverware. That may sound like arrogance, but since it's our U23's playing, we are also competing versus U23's and the standard for U23's in most Asian leagues is fairly low. As in, they are fucking awful.

After the previous little Twitter thread, I kinda looked at how pressing is measured in real life. You quickly end up looking at PPDA.

v v v v v v v v v The greater the offensive pressing brought by a team, the lower the value of the PPDA will be. On the contrary, a team that prefers to defend closer to the goal will have a higher PPDA, resulting from the greater number of passes allowed in the attacking half before recovering.

A little thread. Had a few discussions on the effectiveness of pressing. Granted, it's not perfect (but what is...).

What grates me is the reasoning behind some of these claims. Bear with me. So one of the images frequently used to back up this point is the following; possessions gained. Which area of the pitch saw the most turnovers of possession. The rationale behind the usage of this graphic is clear; there are hardly any turnovers on the opposing half.
