The Knesset's ethics committee decided on Monday (11.11) to ban MK Ofer Cassif from participating in plenary and committee meetings for six months and withhold two weeks worth of his salary, over his repeated statements opposing the occupation and Israel's war crimes in -
ועדת האתיקה של הכנסת החליטה בשני (11.11) להרחיק לחצי שנה מהמליאה ומהועדות את חה״כ עופר כסיף ולשלול ממנו שכר של שבועיים. זאת בתגובה להתבטאויות החוזרות ונשנות של כסיף כנגד הכיבוש ופשעי המלחמה שמבצעת ישראל בעזה ובגדה המערבית.
In 1957, 11 of those responsible for the massacre were brought to trial. In the verdict it was proclaimed that the order that had been given to the soldiers was a “clearly unlawful order” which is illegal to obey. In this case, Refusal was the only legal response possible.
