What’s happened over the last few days?

It’s been a very long time since the meta has been this volatile.
New comps are popping up every day and new tech is being shared.

So we wanted to go over some of the changes that have happened during this patch: Image The Rise of 8 Yordle:

Different variations of Yordles have seen success in Masters+

With buffs to Ziggs and bug fixes to both Fizz and Veigar, all three carries are seeing major success.

You want to play 8 Yordles usually only when you have unlocked Veigar, as the comp can’t stabilize to go 9 for Ziggs without him.

Without Veigar, playing 8 Yordles will lead into lines such as Ziggs + Ryze fast 9.Image

Caitlyn & Jayce -The FASTEST Rising Comp

• HIGHEST win rate (19.1%) in Diamond+ (excluding Crystal Gambit win-outs)
• The pick rate has doubled from 0.2 -> 0.4 in the last 2 days and climbing
• Does not need any Artifacts to work

Once the right requirements are set up it’s hard to lose:Image Board Positioning

• Roll on 7
• Position to leave a gap in the middle so that Caitlyn can snipe back line
• Jayce same side as Caitlyn; he shreds flat armor and is your strongest tankImage

EVERY Power Up Tip & Trick we know so far!

You get 2 power up fruits per game (1-3 & 3-6), and you are shown a choice of 3 from an available pool depending on your current situation.

There are many conditions that impact what you can see, including:
- Unit used on
- Stage of the game
- Traits active on board
- Hero Augments
- Special Conditions?

Here’s what we’ve learned…Image 1) MIN Stage/MAX Stage Requirement

This one is particularly IMPORTANT during transitions and when moving items over to a stronger unit in the early-mid game.

All permanent scaling and GOLD generating power-ups stop showing up after stage 2 or 3.

This is because no one wants to begin scaling at the end of the game and gold generation is MUCH weaker in comparison to actual combat strength late game.

This is why you’ll want to wait until stage 4 to use your 2nd fruit, or if you’re transitioning and moving items over.

It’s also great if you’re loss streaking early game and don’t need your fruit. If you wait until after stage 2-6 you will remove the chance of hitting a scaling power up that you really DONT want at that point.

This is very similar to how you can wait to use an artifact anvil unit after stage 2-6 to remove the chance of getting Mogul’s Mail or Gold Collector.

Some Power Ups can have a minimum or maximum level requirement as well, such as Hero's Arc below.Image

The Rogue Captain & His Crew | FULL Strategy Guide

You’re going to have a hard time if you try to play this comp the usual way. ‘The Crew’ trait doesn’t have traditional breakpoints and instead unlocks new bonuses based on the # of Crew members and their STAR LEVELS.

Today we’ll cover the strategy for one of the most unique reroll traits released in TFT that has you breaking all the standard rules:Image You get 5% more AS and HP per Crew member fielded.

Your goal should be to hit at least 1 3* Crew member AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.

This is because:

1) You begin to farm 1 XP for something you’re going to be doing anyway (rolling)
2) It gives you the freedom to push levels however you want.

You’re not punished for pushing levels as the odds for your Crew units will never drop with player level. Meaning you should be able to hit Sivir on 8 just as easily as lvl 5.Image

How to One-Trick Warriors to Masters+
This comp is easily forcible every game and can be played in a variety of ways without perfect items mattering.

The 4 Warrior comp has changed drastically in the b-patch and no longer focuses so much on rerolling Nila/Akali but going 8 and playing around Fiora and Katarina.

Here’s how to play it:Image You want to focus on getting 4 Warriors in as the rest of the comp is pretty flexible.

The standard is 4 Preservers as shown above but can be done with other front line such as:

1) Shapeshifters
2) Bastions

At 9 You usually want to cap out with 4 Preserves or Arcana with Xerath + TK.

Going for 3* Katarina is also a valid way to cap out.Image

Why You’re Playing Zoe Reroll WRONG 🧹

Zoe/Ahri are rolling lobbies left and right and most people aren’t even playing her the correct way yet. Much like Syndra from last patch the comp is played completely differently by players who know the tech.

Here’s the real way to play her:Image IT'S NOT A ZOE COMP.
It’s actually an AHRI comp and Zoe should be itemized much later.

Here we used the Data Explorer to look at 3 Scenarios:

Filter 1. The overall average placement of the comp (4.2 AVP)
Filter 2. How the comp fares without Zoe items and Ahri with 3 items (4.46 AVP)
Filter 3. How the comp fares with Zoe itemized and Ahri without 3 items (5.02 AVP)

What does any of this mean?
It means ideally you want both units itemized but Ahri without items is SIGNIFICANTLY worse for you.

So look to slam items on Ahri first > then your tank > then Zoe/Ryze depending on what you hit first.Image
