This post was inspired by my conversation with @JoshRainerGold , when he asked me what folks who eat fish consistently should do to prevent Mercury accumulation from the fish they are eating.β£
β£
This is NOT a protocol to deal with the mercury already bioaccumulated in your tissues. β£
β£
It is not strong enough to move the needle along that dimension, but it may work really well to prevent any new mercury youβre exposed to from coming into the system.β£

Here is the protocol anytime you consume fish:β£

A thread π§΅
π¦ππ§π§ππ‘π π§ππ π¦π§πππ:
The mom of the infant was referred to me in August of 2023 by another health care professional for central sleep apnea along with low ferritin (8ng/mL) and a bunch of other symptoms including digestive issues.
The doctors recommended the infant take an iron supplement for the low ferritin, but the mother had read about how low ferritin could be related to other things, rather than strictly iron deficiency, and felt uncomfortable giving her infant supplemental iron.
She also wanted to seek alternative approaches to help with her sleep apnea and digestive issues, for which her doctor had no good answers.
The images in this tweet show proof of what the mother was dealing with in her infant daughter.

Iβm going to interpret this test for you here in a thread, through a very different lens than youβve provided here.
No shade on you at all sir, most people think to use this test through the lens of individual elements, but in my world this is an incorrect and outdated method of htma interpretation.
Letβs dig deeper π§΅π§΅π§΅
The way I view an htma is primarily with an emphasis on the first four elements and the ratios thereof (calcium, magnesium, sodium, potassium).
The reasoning for this is threefold:
1. These four bigger elements (ca, mg, na and k) make up 99% of the mineral content in the body and therefore
2. They are under major homeostatic control via hormones
3. These four major elements and their balance also massively affects the way the rest of the elements are absorbed and utilized in the body
This post is about how mineral balancing works to eliminate heavy metals.
In this particular case study weβll be examining how MB is useful for aluminum detoxification.
Test # 1 in our sequence of HTMAs (January 2024):
My own hair test from January of this year.
This test shows a mildly fast metabolic rate (sodium/potassium higher relative to calcium/magnesium) along with fairly solid levels of zinc, selenium and phosphorus.
