I had someone ask me about success as an author and how to get attention for your work... I figured I'd share, since I mentioned you (collectively) in the response:

"That’s the trick—how to get attention for your work, especially if it’s deserving of such.

I look at 1/ 2/ the cross section of writers who are six-figure or better earners and ask, “What are they doing different than the others that are not selling nearly as well?”

Often the answer is a huge disparity in quality, but let’s assume the quality (which is subjective) is there,

What's interesting is that there are many conservative literary creatives out there, but for the vast majority of them, they're incognito. They don't show their hands and this runs the gamut of authors, agents, and even editors at the big publishers.
