CNN's Kaitlin Collins followed up the Trump debacle last night by interviewing Chad Wolf about Title 42.

He's the Stephen Miller crony at DHS who a whistleblower accused of whitewashing threats from white supremacist terrorists. Chad Wolf's expertise on immigration basically centers around working as "acting" DHS chief. He was not lawfully appointed. Critics pointed out that Stephen Miller may have run the department through him.

Kaitlin Collins wants this guy's input:

New: Mauricio Garcia's social media trail touched neo-Nazi content and misogynist incel filth.

But he also referenced Tim Pool, VDARE, Libs of Tik Tok and Nick Fuentes. A Trump-era cluster of hate:

@hannahgais, me, Rachel Janik and @MeganSquire0:
splcenter.org/hatewatch/2023… The white nationalists at VDARE rushed to notify their readers of Garcia being Latino.

Big surprise, VDARE made a cameo in Garcia's social media history.

It's not about race, ethnicity or immigration status. It's about justifying cruelty and hate: splcenter.org/hatewatch/2023… Image

Jack Posobiec blocks me so I can't ask him directly about his thoughts on Ali Alexander's scandal.

Posobiec helped make the "groomer" slur go viral in smearing LGBTQ+ people in the run-up to Pride '22.

He's associated himself with Ali publicly for years. Image I'd be very interested to know what Alex Jones thinks about Ali Alexander's scandal, given his friendship with him.

Jones is basically the godfather of conflating LGBTQ+ culture with pedophilia: splcenter.org/hatewatch/2023… Image

New: the radical right has misled people about Doug Mackey’s verdict and what happened at his trial.

Here’s how the Ricky Vaughn “shitposting” defense fell apart: splcenter.org/hatewatch/2023… Tucker Carlson, Darren Beattie, Glenn Greenwald, and other performers who have audiences in the MAGA space have eroded key details from this trial.

Mackey’s white supremacist views are 1A protected. But they also helped prove out his motive:

The jury in the “Ricky Vaughn” trial just found Douglass Mackey GUILTY Mackey took the news with an inscrutable expression on his face.

Deliberations went on four days for just one charge.

People sent him prayer emojis on here.

Jury still deliberating in the Douglass Mackey/Ricky Vaughn case and will pick up tomorrow.

Mackey’s defense name checked John Lewis, Michelle Obama, Gandhi and other people liberals admire in his closing remarks. Prosecutors zeroed in on potential motive — repeatedly hammering Mackey’s comments disparaging Black people, immigrants and women, arguing that they shouldn’t vote.

Ricky Vaughn said these things repeatedly. He didn’t say them sideways. He was blunt.

Prosecution cross-examined Douglass Mackey and repeatedly showed him his Ricky Vaughn-era statements calling Black people gullible or low IQ.

He called women: “children with the right to vote.”

Dark, nauseating vibes in court.

Tucker Carson has made this man a cause célèbre. Mackey repeatedly admitted to believing his own words in 2016.

In addition to describing adult women as being “children,” he repeatedly used the hashtag “Repealthe19th,” calling for women to be stripped of their voting rights.

The disinfo he shared focused on women of color.

I just saw Microchip take the stand. Going to quote him as best as I can. Q: Did you think this was a valid way of voting? (Re election disinfo)

Microchip: “Not at all.”

Prosecution introduced evidence now where Douglass Mackey/Ricky Vaughn called Black people “the most gullible,” as in easy to deceive.

He also said women should be denied the right to vote.

Please consider this in the context of Tucker Carlson hyping him. A jury will decide if Mackey committed a crime.

But what he said and did speaks loudly about the Trump movement.

His Ricky Vaughn account was wildly popular with Trump’s base, and this man essentially believed that non-white people and women were irrelevant, just dirt.

Thread: Between witness testimony in the Ricky Vaughn case, the judge excused the jury to overhear defense objections to Twitter DM material used as evidence.

Most reporters left. @lukeobrien and I remained.

Some of it was fascinating. Some of it was … uh, highly amusing. The DMs involved Ricky Vaughn/Douglass Mackey and other pro-Trump extremists collaborating to demoralize Clinton supporters and workshop memes together.

Quote from prosecution on issues of repetitiveness:

“For example, the word cuck appears a lot.”

Photos I took of Douglass Mackey, aka “Ricky Vaughn” leaving the courthouse 15 minutes ago, alone.

His attorney left earlier, without him.

In court, his attorney said that Mackey will most likely serve as the only witness in his own defense. Today the feds called in Paul Nehlen, aka “Uncle Paul” — a white supremacist and antisemite.

Mackey reached out to help Nehlen’s political ambitions as “Ricky Vaughn.” Then he started emailing him with an account that exposed his real name.

The two men posted together on Gab.

New: Jury selection is underway in the trial of Douglass “Ricky Vaughn” Mackey — who stands accused of targeting Black voters with a scam to disenfranchise them in 2016.

The case covers new territory for our polarized, algorithm-addled era:
splcenter.org/hatewatch/2023… Prosecutors told the judge that while Mackey’s case has received fairly limited media coverage — one particular source has focused on it intensely.

That would be Tucker Carlson, who they called out by name.

The concern is Carlson viewers would struggle to be objective.

NEW in Part 5: Texts from Alex Jones' phone show Infowars marking up products *900%* and appearing to rig view counts.

You'll almost feel bad for his fans reading this one.

@MeganSquire0 & me again:

In part 4, an Infowars employee warns Alex Jones about Nick Fuentes.

Specifically, they warn that Fuentes’ associate “Millennial Matt” Colligan confessed to being an FBI informant.

Me & @MeganSquire0 again:
splcenter.org/hatewatch/2023… For those unaware, Matt Colligan aka “Millennial Matt” showed up at Charlottesville as part of a cluster of racist, Pro-Trump influencers, like Baked Alaska.

By 2020, he allegedly confessed to becoming an FBI informant tasked with monitoring Nick Fuentes:

In Part 3 of our Alex Jones series, we go inside his longstanding friendship with Joe Rogan and how he tried to help accused sex trafficker Andrew Tate get a guest spot on Joe Rogan Experience.

Once again by me & @MeganSquire0 splcenter.org/hatewatch/2023… Once again, misogyny plays a big role in the series.

Joe Rogan called Andrew Tate "a very smart guy" in January -- after more details about his alleged crimes became public. I texted him to ask what was so smart about Tate but didn't hear back: splcenter.org/hatewatch/2023… Image

Elon Musk restored the verified account of white nationalist and antisemite Nick Fuentes.

No other mainstream website allows this guy to have an account. After YouTube pulled the plug on Nick, he told his audience that he retained 80% of his audience through Twitter referrals. Then Twitter suspended him too. Musk restoring his account will drive significant traffic to Fuentes’ hate site:

I don’t know, man. Jack Posobiec looks exactly as I remember him. Stressed out.

Love that these guys are still crying about this one week later.

Take the L and move on. Image I kept the questions to things related to Jack Posobiec's radical right activism.

If I really wanted to run up the score on him I would have asked:

Why did you claim to go to Wharton in your book when you never did?

Why did you pretend to work for CBS News?

I'm too nice.

References here to @hannahgais and Korn. Here we talk about @Santos4Congress and his willingness to appear next to bigoted, ultranationalist groups like AfD and FPÖ.

Queens/Long Island people pay attention to this guy:

I recommend that reporters block Elon Musk. If you need to read his tweets for work, do it another way.

Dude never logs off and he’s less likely to get mad online and suspend you if you’re not in his face.

I’m a big fan of blocking in general. Block Andy Ngo. Block Ian Miles Cheong. Just block these clowns. As my five-year-old son would say, they are dumb.

If you need to figure out how to monitor these and other accounts in real time without violating ToS manipulation policy, I can advise over signal.

Elon Musk’s Twitter nuked the antifascist news website It’s Going Down — I look forward to the free speech substack people jumping in to get mad about this one: Among many other things It’s Going Down did is round up the comings and goings of far-right extremists every week.

I know of nothing they ever did that would merit a suspension on this site.
