I’m not watching the inauguration. My son is off school for MLK Day, and other than a few emails and a TV hit, I’m spending the day with him.

I’m not going to let these people rob me of any ounce of joy during these four years. I’m going to fight, but not at the expense of my health and my family. I encourage you to do the same. We have a lot of work ahead to stop the worst of what’s coming and to elect more and better Democrats who can help us take back Congress, the White House, and legislatures nationwide. But each of us needs to prioritize protecting our health and our families first.

Since a lot of folks (including current Dem members of Congress) apparently have no idea what the DNC Chair does, I put together a quick thread.

Let’s start with what it’s NOT 🔽 The DNC Chair is not a solution to every problem the party faces.

❌ They don’t pick candidates or control primaries.
❌ They don’t set policy for the party.
❌ They don’t write laws or change election rules.
