THREAD 1) The Urban Meyer situation in Jacksonville has reached a crisis point, especially in the locker room. One player told me, 'He has zero credibility in that stadium. He had very little to begin with.' 2) Players were particularly put off by the fact that Meyer canceled Monday's team meeting, as he dealt with the uproar over the videos of him and a young woman getting cozy in that Ohio bar. 'He even canceled the team meeting. He was too scared,' a player said.

THREAD 1) On Wednesday, Packers coach Matt LaFleur said he holds no ill will toward 49ers coach Kyle Shanahan, his longtime colleague & friend, in the wake of the Niners' offseason pursuit of Aaron Rodgers. THREAD: With the Ravens-Steelers game now in the books, the NFL's goal of playing all 256 regular season games in 17 weeks remains alive... barely. As I reported Sunday on GameDay Final, we are one COVID-19-induced postponement away from invoking the Week 18 scenario... 2) With the last two teams (Bucs, Panthers) now on bye weeks, any postponed game would be pushed to a hypothetical 18th week. After Week 17, the league would then decide how integral that game was toward the postseason picture and whether it's worth playing...

THREAD: 1) As @KimJonesSports reported, the incident that led to the abrupt firing of Giants OL coach Marc Colombo did involve Colombo calling HC Joe Judge a very dirty name. However, tensions began weeks earlier after an incident on the practice field... 2) According to a witness, Judge corrected the technique of center Nick Gates during a practice several weeks ago, and Colombo disagreed with correction. Judge reacted angrily, and from that point on was frosty toward the OL coach. Ultimately, Judge brought in Dave DeGuglielmo...

(Mini-THREAD) Clarifying my comments regarding Carson Wentz and "sloppy practice habits." I was attempting to convey two things, and I did it too quickly. 1) The Eagles have had some sloppy practices as of late. That's not specific to Carson... 2) In retrospect, there's a feeling among some in the building that they wish certain things had been drilled into Carson from an early stage, and stressed at practice: a push for him to check the ball down and give up on plays more quickly...

THREAD: 1) According to a source familiar with the NFL's scheduling scenarios, when the league decided Sunday morning not to play Broncos-Patriots Monday night, they debated an indefinite postponement, which would essentially have put the "Week 18" scenario in play... 2) Instead, Broncos-Patriots was moved to next Sunday... and a contingency plan involving eight games, eight teams and six switched bye weeks was implemented. However, once a team that's already had its bye can't play in a given week, Week 18 will likely become a reality...
