I wish the news media would be more careful with how they present news of violent crimes committed by anyone who happens to be mentally ill or living on the street.

Tonight Toronto news media reported about two women murdered by a mentally ill man related to them.... The stories featured reactions from local residents who described observing symptoms of his mental illness making a clear insinuation that mentally ill and unhoused people commit violent crimes.

News media reported that insinuation as truth without any clarifying context at all

I've known a couple people over the years who worked directly for Pierre Poilevre in his office and in his close orbit when MP and a Minister.

What they told me many years ago now, stuck bc it was THAT disturbing.

It's broadly consistent with Andrew Lawton's book.../ They told me Pierre AND his spouse drove staff into full blown mental breakdowns bc they were cruel to a severe degree.
