New Jerseyans are bearing the brunt of failures by our grid operator, PJM. And today, we found out they’re raising rates again.

Auction prices are determined by supply and demand for energy on our grid. I visited Delaney Hall this morning and I want to tell you about where we stand, why this moment is so dangerous, and why I’m so strongly opposed to private, for-profit prisons and detention centers. 1/10 If you’re not familiar, Delaney Hall is a private detention facility, owned by the GEO Group, one of the largest private prison companies in the nation. It was recently reopened under a contract with ICE to serve as an immigrant detention facility. 2/10
