What exactly causes religious trauma syndrome? According to expert Dr Marlene Winell:
“Authoritarianism coupled with toxic theology which is received and reinforced at church, school, and home results in:
1. Suppression of normal childhood development;

Christian nationalism has some disturbing roots in slavery & segregation.
1. Rushdoony drew from the work of 19th-century slavery apologist Dabney.
The Bible supports slavery; Africans were fortunate to encounter western civilisation and Christianity, he argued.

Also: the Civil War arose because the South was a bastion of Christian orthodoxy, not as a result of slavery!
