Malaria claims 131 deaths
The cumulative figures for malaria are 135 585 and 131 deaths. A total 201 malaria outbreaks have been reported throughout the country mostly from malarious provinces such as Manicaland, Masvingo and Mash East.
90 outbreaks have been controlled.
18 690 malaria cases and 17 deaths were reported this week. Of the reported cases, 1 935 (10.4%) were from the under five years of age. The deaths were reported from Mutoko District (4) in Mashonaland East Province, Mbire District (1),

HEALTH SERVICE BOARD: STATEMENT ON STRIKE BY JUNIOR DOCTORS AND RADIOGRAPHERS
1.Doctors working in some of our public heath institutions, through their association, the Zimbabwe Hospitals Doctors Association (ZHDA), abruptly withdrew their labour on the 1st of December 2018.
Radiographers in the public health sector also abruptly withdrew their labour on the 6th of December 2018. Other Doctors later joined the industrial action. 2.Before the collective job action was taken there was no formal notice given to Government.
