Inactivated vaccines like Covaxin are better in this regard, as they provoke an immune response against the whole virus vs just the spike protein (for mRNA: Pfizer/Moderna and adenovirus vector vaccines: AstraZaneca/CoviShield/Sputnik) but.. [Contd.] From the experience so far with earlier variants (with ALL vaccine types) it has been seen that while there has been some level of "escape" against nAbs [neutralizing Anti bodies] evading T Cells has proven more challenging for these variants

1/n) This is one of the reasons why India never went with either F-16 of F/A-18 for MMRCA and will continue to have doubts over buying F-21/F-35/F-18 etc. 2/n) Sanctions (after Pokhran-2) or cutting off military aid in the past (see thread by Tanvi) meant that US could unilaterally cut of military supplies to toe their line

For quite some time we have been regularly subjected to hype around "Fortress" Gabba (Brisbane) where Australia had not lost a Test Match since 1988. 2/n) Hence it is worthwhile to look at Indian venues (which don't get the same type of media attention as Brisbane) where the Indian cricket team has not lost a test match in the past 20+ years.

1/n) Since some have created an over the top media frenzy over a journalist forecasting military action against Pakistan in Feb 2019, I humbly submit my post on Feb 14th in immediate aftermath of the Pulwama attack. 2/n) My point here is that (not only me but) scores of people who follow defense and strategic affairs very closely saw significant military action being undertaken by India in response to Pulwama attacks.

With US having vaccinated 9M+ and India starting it's vaccination plan soon (Jan 16th) some have started scaremongering about vaccines via alarmist WhatsApp forwards, FB/Twitter posts and other social media platforms Most of the cases of severe reaction to vaccine have been mostly Anaphylaxis which is a severe, (in some cases potentially life-threatening allergic reaction) It can occur after exposure to allergen which can be peanut, shellfish, bee sting etc. or even contents of a vaccine.

1/n) Fantastic rearguard action by India to save the Test Match! Will be considered as one of India's best 4th innings fightbacks to save a Test Match!
#IndiavsAustralia 2/n) The fact that India avoided defeat was commendable considering
1) #2, #3 & #4 fast bowlers injured
2) #1 fast bowling all rounder not fit to play Test Matches
3) #2 spinner broke his thumb
3) Batsmen @ #6 tore his hamstring

1. Complete opposite of LS2019 where opposition having no credible challenger to project vs Modi wanted to make it a seat by seat election looking to take advantage of anger against incumbent BJP MPs 👇 2. Can BJP succeed in this strategy that opposition failed at in LS2019? i.e. Not make it personality contest vs Kejriwal as they are not projecting any one as CM and try to fight on a seat by seat basis?

1/n) Saw 2 excellent movies: Uri and The Accidental PM.
@veggiediplomat @HarithaPusarla
@ask0704 @Aryanwarlord
@KushalSinha001 @VinodDX9

Dont go by the negative reviews in the media which could be possibly influenced by their ideological differences. 2/n) Uri is one of the best action movies to be made in Bollywood. It does potray events mostly well albeit with some "arstistic liberty" cases where some fiction was added for entertainment value especialy towards the end.
