I want to tell you about a events that happened here over the long Christmas weekend, beginning mid-last week. Early in the week I noticed that a big storm plus a dire cold front were headed our way beginning around Thursday night. So I decided to do a bunch of baking.

Missouri just put forth a bill that would BAN ABORTION FOR ECTOPIC PREGNANCIES. You read that correctly.
It is a clear death sentence for many if not most women who suffer from this complication. While we're all focused on Ukraine, right-wing extremists in red states are proceeding apace with draconian anti-LGBTQ and anti-woman legislation. Many of these bills have already been passed into laws.

Since everything is tense and surreal, I decided to bake popovers for breakfast. Less than an hour from idea to plate, and so uplifting. Popovers: 5 minutes to prepare, 30-35 minutes to bake
