I wish there was another way to share this but since you tweeted the below publicly, I feel like I must take a minute to explain the shortsightedness that you and your colleagues display, directly leading to these supposed acts of marginalization. You see, when time after time you go overboard in attacking @GovKathyHochul or other political officials for allegedly mistreating our community, you lose much of the good faith they naturally had by showing no good faith towards them.

Today, though, too many people read the news — and scroll through Twitter — asking instead, “Is it good for the Republicans or good for the Democrats?”
The problem is that partisanship can be blinding. And it blinds us to shameful wrongs in our own party that we would be outraged by if the other party committed them.

Shavua Tov, Friends!

I’ve received many messages over the past few days, some negative and many more positive. The positive ones almost unanimously use a term that makes me uneasy: “courage.”
I want to make clear that this week's events are not about Eichlers or myself! What we did in @EichlersBP was a tiny step in keeping our children safe and was not courageous. To me, courage is about what I see in the countless messages I read from victims who still get up every day fighting to survive and remain strong, despite what occurred to them.
