Jerry Wexler one of @AtlanticRecords foundation giants created the term while working as a writerthe @billboard race charts in 1950. #KNOWwhatyousayYouLOVE@billboard editor PaulAckerman sent JerryWexler home to come up with the new term because RACE records was considered derogatory to a new movement of Blackfolk post World War 2.
