A multi-story residential building under construction has collapsed opposite the main offices of George Municipality. Emergency Services and Law Enforcement agencies are on the scene. According to a reliable source, over 40 people are trapped beneath the rubble.

The Hawks arrested 3 suspects following a CIT heist in Oudtshoorn today. The trio were arrested in George. Members of the elite crime unit were responding to the crime when they spotted a vehicle matching description of the suspects' on the Outeniqua pass.
