Dear Progressives,
It's election season again. The APC will need your support and energy during the campaigns. Some of you are already exhausted your energies on the just concluded convention. The primaries will have their tolls on your mental health.
There'll be little left for the main elections. What do you stand to gain fighting your fellow Progressives? If your candidate wins the primary, don't you think you'll need other party members to get your candidate to win the election?

Canadian Truckers’ Protests: Physician Heal Thyself! By Olalekan Adigun
Ottawa, the capital city of Canada, has been the hotbed of the far-rightwing-inspired Canadian truckers’ protests tagged #FreedomConvoy2022 since late January.

I love to quote from one of my best books written by one of my greatest authors, Frantz Fanon's THE WRETCHED OF THE EARTH because, though written in 1961, it captures perfectly the present reality in Nigeria.
Frantz Fanon wrote: "The collective struggle presupposes collective responsibility at the base and collegiate responsibility at the top. Yes; everybody will have to be compromised in the fight for the common good. No one has clean hands; there are no innocents and no onlookers."

It appears some people are misguided or just being deliberately mischievous. Hate speech is not the same as criticism. The later is tolerated everywhere, never the former. Hate speech has little or nothing to do with socio-economic discontents.
Even in developed countries, hate speeches are frowned at with strong laws.
Uncontrolled hate speeches led to avoidable loss of lives during the 1994 Rwandan genocide. It's used freely during the Holocaust in Germany.

1/ I use to dedicate time and data daily to watch #JH on YouTube. I thought it's a good show for me to review issues in the news and keeping myself up-to-date on issues around the country's polics. This was until sometimes in mid-2018 after the Ekiti APC Guber primary. 2/ Why did I stop watching? Many #JH fans at the time were unanimous in their views that one of the regular commentators on the programme, Mr. Babajide Otitoju, was a "walking encyclopedia of Nigerian history and politics."
