I legitimately don’t believe that FFVII P3 will end the same way that FFVII did, and it’s because FF is an entire franchise based off the phrase “Defy fate/the gods”.
If anyone has ever listened to me rage about FFXV, you know how I feel when this trope is ignored. FFXV is the
ONLY mainline ff that didn’t follow this, and they ended up defying fate in BOTH alternate endings. Don’t make me scream about Bahamut. We’ll be here for a month.
FFVII, too, was about defying fate.
Remake cannot follow the same beats as FFVII’s ending, because we already know

So @ItsBrianaWhite I have a funny story for you.
OG came out when I was 6. My parents were divorcing, and my dad decided to buy us a PS1 as a bad apology.
He bought us two games, one of them being FFVII.
Only problem? I was like 6. I could barely read.
Enter: Grandma.
Some kids get told stories to go to bed, but my grandma, Shama, who never played a game her entire life, decided she’s never too old to learn.
So, every night, we played FFVII. My mom was working night shifts, so we all would stay up and enjoy the game as Shama read it to us.
