Is it tajsīm to make gestures when speaking about the attributes of Allah such as yad?
The short answer: no, it's authentically narrated from the Prophet ﷺ and the Salaf, like Yahya ibn Sa'īd and Imam Ahmad.
Long answer: the sifat of Allah and that of the creation...
which share the same name (eg both are called yad, qudrah, nuzul etc) are not merely homonyms which don't share any meaning.
Rather there is a shared partial meaning between the two, though no shared essence (ie تمام الماهيّة)
So when we say that Allah has a literal hand...

'How do we know who's a reliable scholar and who isn't?'
This is a question which doesn't have an easy answer, but there are certain guidelines which can help you distinguish real knowledgeable shuyukh from fakes.
1) What books has he authored?
If he has works which are...
considered authoritative or of great importance in his field, then it's likely that he's knowledgeable in at least that field of expertise.
For example, you can tell that Sh Musa'id Al Tayyar is a distinguished 'ālim in 'ulum al Qur'an through the importance of his book.

Joining feet to feet in Salah is NOT a Sunnah:
There is no hadith of the Prophet ﷺ which commands doing so, rather all of the ahadith mention shoulders specifically.
Likewise, there are ahadith which the Prophet ﷺ advises being gentle in joining shoulders
(1/5)
Such as his ﷺ statement:
"خياركم ألينكم مناكب في الصلاة"
"The best of you are the softest with their shoulders in Salah"
Specifying the mention of shoulders has mafhum al mukhālafah ie indication that the ruling is specific to it, not other body parts.

Preface:
Before buying any books, you should give deep thought as to whether you really need a personal library or not, and whether this should be a priority for you when considering your current situation.

Books are very expensive and thus only a profitable investment if you are going to make real use from them in the long term.
If you're going to use them mainly 'for motivation' or for aesthetics, then there are much cheaper alternatives.

[Ruling on Various Reprehensible Acts Around Graves According to the Hanbali Madhab]:
1) It is haram to make tawaf around a grave by ijma'.
Although Al Hajjawi said that it is makruh in one place in Al Iqna':
ويكره المبيت عنده وتجصيصة وتزويقه وتخليقه وتقبيله والطواف به

This is either: 1) interpreted as tawaf in the linguistic sense, ie mere circulation, or
2) a mistake, because al Hajjawy himself affirms the ijma' on its tahrīm in the same book:
