During archaeological excavations in the run-up to the widening of the A143 motorway, a very special finding was uncovered in the winter months of last year - a skull deposit of the Salzmünder culture (ca. 3400-3100 BC). #Archaeology #SaxonyAnhalt Already during the work on the area the circular finding with approx. 1m diameter and four human skulls became apparent. A block salvage and transport to the central depot of the LDA took place in order to excavate under laboratory conditions and independent of weather conditions
