Autumn on the WA coast is the best time for ocean kayaking. Low swell & light winds, much more consistently than summer.

But the dark clouds of AUKUS threaten the fragile environment of the Shoalwater Marine Park, immediately adjacent to Garden Island's Stirling Naval Base. 🧵 Image
Image Shoalwater Marine Park is a significant breeding and feeding ground for fairy penguins, sea lions*, bottlenose dolphins, and nesting colonies of multiple species of sea  birds.
