"There is a big question about funding in schools. There is a lack of joined up services and specialist support for families and children. It has been hollowed out."

The Government must:
1. Permit schools to move to remote learning for all pupils, except those deemed to be vulnerable or the children of key workers, in the highest tier areas
2. Publish new safety guidance for schools in light of the increased risk posed by the variant

Today's meeting with the government's scientific advisors on the plans for the reopening of schools raised more questions than answers.
